Quinn’s Greenhouse in McCaysville was the scene of a fun hands-on class on How to Start Vegetables from Seeds on Saturday, March 7, courtesy of Feed Fannin. Ginger Montgomery provided materials and expert advice on readying spring vegetable gardens.
Ginger talked and answered questions about which vegetables can be started from seed and when and where to plant them with authority, thanks to her extensive experience with the family nursery. She and her husband Gabriel own Quinn’s, which was founded by her grandparents, and their son, Dade, oversees its daily operations.
This presentation has been one of the most popular programs offered by Feed Fannin over the years and, true to form, the 2020 event drew at least 25-30 eager gardeners.
